Weekend College Accelerated Degree Program

To earn an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences through the Weekend College Accelerated Degree Program, we urge you to apply now. Call (707) 521-7888 for an application and other information or follow the easy steps outlined below to enroll today:

Step 1

Submit a Letter of Interest by (1) downloading the PDF on this Web site, (2) calling the office at (707) 521-7888 to request that a Letter of Interest be mailed to you, or (3) simply filling out a Letter of Interest in the Adult Reentry & New Student Programs office in Plover Hall on the Santa Rosa Campus.

Step 2

Submit an official SRJC Application for Admission, either by (1) directly applying online, (2) downloading the application online, or by (3) filling out a paper application that's available at Admissions & Records in Plover Hall.

Step 3

Attend an orientation.

Step 4

Take assessment tests (if necessary).

Step 5

If appropriate, have any previous college transcripts evaluated to determine what units you need (details about how to do this are covered in the orientation).

Step 6

Meet with a counselor and complete an Educational Plan. Call (707) 521-7888 to schedule an appointment.

Step 7

Enroll in (or have completed) these recommended courses:

a. College Skills 334: How to Take an Online Class, and
b. Counseling 60: Effective Study Workshop, or
c. Counseling 61: Introduction to Career Development.

*Note: These classes are recommended, not required.  Taking these classes before you enter the program helps ensure your success.

To obtain priority registration for Weekend College Accelerated Degree Program classes, please note the following deadlines:

Deadlines to earn Priority 1A registration status

For Fall Admission: To earn Priority 1A status for fall registration, you must have taken at least 1/2 unit during spring semester, or be enrolled in 3 units for the summer term no later than the first week of June, and have completed an Academic Plan.

For Spring Admission: To earn Priority 1A status for spring registration, you must have taken at least 1/2 unit in the fall semester, and have completed an Academic Plan.

Please note:
Students who do not have Priority 1A registration status may still apply for the Weekend College Accelerated Degree Program, but cannot be guaranteed their classes.
