![]() Working can be a very affordable way to spend a semester abroad. Students live and work in another country while earning up to eight units in Work Experience, with no additional classroom work required. We currently offer two distinct programs, the Work in Britain program and the Wine Industry Internship in Australia. SRJC works with professional organizations to provide group travel arrangements, orientations, and faculty job site visits. These Work Abroad programs offer a cost-effective way for you to add an international component to your resume.

![]() WINE INDUSTRY INTERNSHIP Through contacts in South Australia, we are able to offer a very limited number of paid internships during the spring semester. Students receive a legal work permit good for four months. The harvest season, called vintage, runs from roughly February 1 through April. Students are quite enthusiastic about their experiences: "As I step away, I am able to see my life at home very clearly, and I can look at my friendships and lifestyle very objectively. This experience has allowed me to define what it is that I want to do with my life. Now I know how to get there." View the info packet. You may drop by the Work Abroad office for further information.
