HOME OF THE 2001 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
and the
2002 & 2001 STATE CHAMPIONS

Santa Rosa Junior College Men's Soccer team is comprised of athletes who understand the meaning of commitment and effort. Coach Kinahan recruits players who not only have skills in soccer, but also good attitudes and willing spirits to be committed to their coaches and teammates. Teamwork focus and sacrifice build a strong foundation for a successful season and positive lasting experience. Coach Kinahan's Nationally Ranked Teams Men's Soccer traveled to New York during the first week of September to battle with their national rivals Herkimer and Genesee College. In the opening game, Herkimer and Santa Rosa battled closely to a 0-0 score at half. Herkimer scored off a free kick early in the second half and the Cubs became more aggressive on offense unfortunately leading to a second Herkimer goal resulting in a 0-2 loss for SRJC. However, the Cubs rallied for a strong showing in their second game against Genesee winning with a score of 3-1. While in New York the Cubs were able to visit the Statue of Liberty, the Soccer Hall of Fame, and even attended a Yankees game in the Bronx. Coach Kinahan and the entire team would like to thank all of you who helped in their fundraising efforts, making this once in a lifetime trip possible.

The Bear Cub Brew is a Sonoma County blend of coffee produced by Calistoga Roastery. It is a dark, smooth roast formulated specifically for the SRJC Men's Soccer Team's efforts to raise money for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. the Cubs have been invited to participated in the prestigious 2007 Coliseum Soccer Club Kickoff Tournament to be held in Ithaca, New York. Herkimer College will be their first opponent on 9/1. Herkimer College is a six time National Champion and has a 148 game home winning streak, which dates back to 1993. The SRJC Men's Soccer Team is excited about this opportunity and has a team fundraising goal of $20,000 for this trip. So treat yourself to some excellent coffee and support the team's efforts as well, the cost is $8 for a 12 oz bag.
